Doctor warns of ‘new disease’ in ‘new generation’
A medical doctor is warning of a new disease that is causing some of his patients to suffer from blindness.
Dr. Tom O’Reilly said his patients are seeing more cases of cataracts.
“I see more people that I’m seeing, that they can’t see the lens of their eye,” Dr. O’Kelly said.
“It’s like they’ve been given a new lens.
I see people, I’m not sure, that have lost the ability to see the entire field of vision.”
Dr. O-Reilly said there are several new cases of the disease, which can be extremely difficult to treat.
One patient is a woman in her 50s with a total of two cataract surgeries in her life.
She’s now in the hospital for treatment, and Dr. Andrew Pyle of the Cleveland Clinic said that patients who have been treated are being treated differently.
He said cataractic patients need surgery for removal of a lens.
The Cleveland Clinic says the most common complication of cataclysms is vision loss, but it can also cause vision loss in other areas of the body.
People can also develop cataragnosis, a condition where there is an abnormality of the eye’s lens.
